Mick McCarthy to rotate Republic of Ireland team for Bulgaria friendly

Mick McCarthy has shown he will make adjustments for the Republic of Ireland’s friendly against Bulgaria live on Sky Sports.
The Republic come into this match on the back of a Euro 2020 qualifier on Thursday, which they drew 1-1 with Switzerland.
McCarthy is ready to flex his squad and also omit some of the players who showcased in that match at the Aviva Stadium.
“You will notice some adjustments,” he said. “It is a chance to view [the squad players] playwith.
“It is an opportunity for people who have travelled round Gibraltar and Denmark and supported the lads to receive a game.
“Everybody plays, we wish to win the game.
“If I create three substitutions, six substitutions – Why Can it weaken the group, strengthen the group?
“Players who have not been playing, if they get the opportunity to playwill be busting a gut to perform at their top level and as well as they possibly could.”
Without revealing if they may begin, the 60-year-old stated both Scott Hogan and James Collins will perform a part in the game, also there could be a possible yield for Matt Doherty if he could overcome an accident.
McCarthy stated:”James and Scott will play.
“I’d love to find a performance from those who warrants me considering that I might have to play them for another game.
“Or that everybody else sees that and they believe that they could play and, if so-and-so’s not doing the company, then at least we’ve got other players that can come in and do a job also, or even better.”
As rotating the XI McCarthy has disclosed his plans to include some of this Republic of Ireland U21 players at the future squads – as long as it doesn’t hamper their qualifying campaign.
The youngsters, who are currently top of their qualifying group that is European, beat 1-0 on Friday, with Sweden their opponents on Tuesday.
McCarthy has emphasized a couple of players who stood out to get him.
He said”I was extremely impressed. Certainly by (Aaron) Connolly, I believed he had been the pick of this bunch. (Jayson) Molumby as well. Both may play, both can pass the ball.
“I hope they have playing with their own teams. I hope they give me this dilemma and that problem if they do start playing.
“If I was to play them and they were not to play nicely, that question would be asked . I trust myself, Terry (Connor) and Robbie (Keane). We know the best players, we all know who should be enjoying.”
