Daniel Jones to replace Eli Manning as starting Giants quarterback.

The New York Giants have declared rookie Daniel Jones will replace Eli Manning as their beginning.
Jones, drafted sixth overall is set to make his first start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The news to veteran quarterback Manning broke on Tuesday and admits the tenth Super Bowl winner was not happy.
“I advised him that we are creating a change and going with Daniel because the newcomer,” Shurmur said.
“Eli was clearly disappointed, as you would expect, however, he stated he would be exactly what he’s always been, a great team-mate, also continue on to prepare to help this team win matches. Daniel knows the challenge in hand, and he will be ready to play on Sunday.”
Manning currently holds all the Giants’ career passing records.
“Finally, this is a move that I believed was best for this team at this time,” Shurmur added.
“I’ve said it since I have here, I’m rather fond of Eli. His preparation, his work ethic, his football brains. These characteristics are as good as I have ever seen in a player. And Eli functioned as hard as you can ask to prepare for this year.
“This movement is more about Daniel moving ahead than approximately Eli.”
The Giants have been 0-2 with Manning as starting quarterback this year, having a passer rating of 78.7.
